Woman Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Barton County
A Nebraska woman was injured in a single motorcycle crash on Sunday morning in Barton County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Honda CTX700 motorcycle was traveling east on K156 Highway when there was a mechanical malfunction. The malfunction caused the driver to lose control and enter the westbound lanes. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and into the west ditch.
69-year-old Linda S. Schneider of Ralston, Nebraska was taken to the University of Kansas Health Systems - Great Bend Campus with suspected minor injuries.
The driver was wearing a helmet, according the KHP.
The crash happened around 10:22 AM on Sunday morning on K156 Highway, 0.1 miles west of NE 100 Ave, just east of Cheyenne Bottoms.
