Game 1: Russell-Victoria 19, Satanta 2
Game 2: Russell-Victoria 15, Satanta 0

The Russell-Victoria Baseball team swept a doubleheader for the second time in 24 hours as they blitzed Satanta for 34 total runs en route to 19-2 and 15-0 victories on Tuesday afternoon.  The games were played at the Great Bend Sports Complex.

Mason Rohr was the starting and winning pitcher in Game 1 and had plenty of offensive support.  He also got some help from his defense in the fourth inning.  After hitting the first two batters, he induced the third hitter he faced in the frame to line into a rare triple play to get out of the inning with just three pitches.

Wyatt Griffin tossed a complete game shutout in the nightcap.  The Broncos erupted for seven runs in the top of the fourth inning to put the contest away led by Andrew Roth's three-run inside the park home run.  Both games ended after five innings due to the mercy rule.

The Broncos extended their winning streak to four games and are now 9-9 on the season.  They will finish the regular season on Thursday, May 12 with a recently added doubleheader at Goodland.   Those games replace the games against TMP-Marian-La Crosse which ended up being canceled on April 29 after a lightning delay and a suspension due to a sudden dust storm at the Shaffer Field Complex left Russell-Victoria one out shy of an official game and a victory in Game 1.  The twinbill with the Cowboys begins at 4 p.m. (3 p.m. Mountain Time).

Following that, the Broncos open Regional Play on Monday, May 16.  First round games will be played on the home field of the higher seed with the semifinals and the championship game to be played on Wednesday, May 18.  The site for those three games is still yet to be determined.
