Concordia F&A Claims K-18 Title in Rain-Soaked Finale
Concordia F&A capped off a storybook summer by winning the K-18 State Baseball Championship at the Lucas Ballpark on Wednesday, evening.
Concordia F&A cruised to an 11-1 victory over Smith Center despite a 1 hour, 20-minute rain delay due to thunderstorms in the area.
Concordia F&A outscored their three opponents 34-2 at state and became the first Concordia team to win the K-18 title since Concordia CNB did it in 2021.
Beloit Red rallied from a 5-0 deficit to beat Phillipsburg 7-6 in the third-place game earlier Wednesday.
Phillipsburg was awarded the Sportsmanship Trophy.
