Cross, Farmer Receive KABC All-State Honors
Two members of the Russell-Victoria Baseball team were named to the Class 3A All-State team by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches.
Senior Jackson Cross was named to the Class 3A All-State First Team as an outfielder while Senior Cameron Farmer was selected to the Class 3A All-State Second Team as a first baseman.
Cross and Farmer were part of a group of six seniors who led the Broncos to a 20-2 record in Head Coach Christien Ozores' first season. Highlights of the season included an undefeated record at home and doubleheader sweeps on the road at TMP-Marian and Southeast of Saline.
Russell-Victoria also won its first postseason game since 2018 with a 9-1 victory over Cimarron-Ingalls in the first round of the Class 3A Goodland Regional before falling in the semifinals to Holcomb the next day.
