Fall Sports Practices Begin Monday
Practices for all high school and middle school fall sports teams in Kansas officially begin on Monday, August 16.
Mark Baldwin begins his first season at the helm of the Russell High School football team. The Broncos kick off their season at home on September 3 against Ellis.
Kamri Nehls will once again lead the RHS volleyball team. The Lady Broncos hit the court for the first time on August 31 at home with a triangular against Plainville and Trego.
Longtime coach Richard Dorzweiler will guide the Russell cross country team. The Broncos open the fall season September 2 at the Hoisington Invitational.
Tyler Schiffelbein is back as the RHS girls golf coach. The Lady Broncos get their season started on August 31 at the Concordia Invite.
Taylor Betts takes over as the head football coach at Ruppenthal Middle School. The Broncos kick off their season September 2 at Smith Center.
Lena Walters returns as the RMS volleyball coach. The Lady Broncos also start their season September 2 at Smith Center.
