K-18 Baseball Bounces Beloit Blue, Secures Regional Berth

Kyle Huser hit a long home run and Max Evans pitched a complete game as the Russell K-18 Baseball team downed #5 seed Beloit Blue 10-1 in the first round of the Twin Lakes League Tournament Tuesday evening at the Shaffer Field Complex.

With the win, #4 seed Russell (5-4) advances to the semifinals of the tournament where they will face top seed Smith Center Friday, July 8 at 2 p.m. in Beloit.  Should Russell win, they would play in the tournament championship game also in Beloit on Friday evening.

Regardless of the outcome of Friday's games, Russell is assured a spot in the upcoming Regional Tournament to be played in Concordia July 12-17.
