The Russell-Victoria Lady Bronco Softball team continued its winning ways Monday with a victory in a game that took almost three weeks to complete.

The Lady Broncos' second game of an April 6 doubleheader with Ellsworth was suspended in the top of the second inning with Russell-Victoria ahead 2-1 when lightning and rain halted play after the Lady Broncos had won the first game.

The two teams completed the game on Monday afternoon at Memorial Park and after the Lady Bearcats fought back in the middle innings to tie the score 5-5, Russell-Victoria pulled away with six runs in the final two innings of the contest to prevail 11-5.

Russell-Victoria (11-1) is back at Memorial Park on Tuesday to face Sacred Heart in a twinbill that had been postponed before the start of play on April 9.

First pitch for Game 1 is set for 4 p.m. and both games can be heard over the air on KRSL 95.9 FM and online at krsl.com
