Lady Broncos Run into Pair of State Ranked Teams

The Russell High School volleyball team met up with a pair of state ranked teams on Thursday, Sept. 2 when they played Victoria and Phillipsburg in Victoria.

Victoria is ranked seventh in Class 1A Division I in the KVA preseason poll, while Phillipsburg is sixth in 3A.

Russell fell to Victoria in two (25-16, 25-14) and Phillipsburg in two (25-16, 25-14).

Russell is 1-3 on the young season and will hit the road on Tuesday, Sept. 7 for a triangular with Hoxie and Hill City in Hoxie. Matches begin at 5 PM.
