Lady Broncos Take Two From Minneapolis, Now 9-0

The Russell-Victoria Lady Bronco softball team continued their fast start to the 2021 season with a doubleheader sweep of former North Central Activities Association rival Minneapolis on a blustery Monday afternoon at Memorial Park in Russell.

The Lady Broncos dispatched the Lady Lions 14-4 in five innings of the first game before outlasting Minneapolis 15-13 in Game 2. The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but moved up a day due to anticipated inclement weather.

Russell-Victoria (9-0) will be back at Memorial Park on Friday, April 23 for a doubleheader against Mid-Continent League foe Ellis. First pitch for Game 1 is set for 4 PM.
