Two Football players from Natoma High School will wrap up their prep Football careers this weekend by playing in the fourth 6-Man All-Star Football game on Saturday, June 3 in Newton.

Jared Griffin and Javon Letsch who both recently graduated from NHS will play for the East squad.  Griffin will play at Wide Receiver and Letsch will play at Running Back and Wide Receiver.

Natoma competed in 6-Man Football last season for the first time under the KSHSAA umbrella and advanced to the second round before falling to eventual state champion Cunningham.  Griffin and Letsch were important contributors on the Tigers 2021 state championship squad which defeated Cunningham at the Wild West Bowl in Dodge City.

Due to low numbers, Natoma will not field a Football team this coming season for the first time in 20 years.  The Tigers didn't compete on the gridiron in 2002 and 2003 before re-emerging in 2004 under former coach and current Sylvan-Lucas head coach Ben Labertew.  Natoma will co-op with Plainville at least for the 2023 season and possibly longer.

Saturday's All-Star Game will kick off at 1 p.m. at Bethel College in Newton.  The contest will be televised live on Smoky Hills PBS.
