RHS Wrestlers Open Season at Hoxie Tournament

The Russell High School Wrestling teams opened the 2022-23 season at the Hoxie Tournament on Saturday, December 3.

The Russell High Girls coached by Luke Keller finished in a fourth place tie with Hoxie with 41 points while the Boys coached by Dan Weigel placed 6th with 43 points.  Scott City won the Girls title with 114 points while defending state champion Hoxie took the top team score with 207 points.

The Russell Boys will next be in action at a pair of meets starting on Friday, December 9 at a triangular meet in Plainville with TMP Marian which begins at 5 p.m. and then on Saturday, December 10 they will take part in the Minneapolis Invite.  The RHS Girls will compete at the Great Bend Invite December 9 and 10.
