City of Russell - Seasonal Parks Department Maintenance Worker

The City of Russell is seeking professional and community-oriented individuals for Seasonal Parks Department Maintenance Worker(s).

This is a 40-hour per week seasonal position, with the season starting in May, running through to August. The employee will be doing general maintenance and upkeep of public grounds within the city. In addition to the above employee will be expected to perform duties of; mowing, weed eating, raking, shoveling, irrigation, trimming of shrubbery and trees, may apply pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers used on City grounds, maintenance/repair of equipment and structures in the City parks and public properties. The employee will be provided with onthe-job training.

Applicants for this position must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Driver’s License and be a resident of Russell County. Pre-employment drug screening and background check assessment are required.
