2023 ROAR Show Winners Announced

The ROAR Art Committee has announced the winners of the 2023 ROAR Show.

The ROAR Show, Russell's Original Art Review, gives Kansas artists, both professional and amateur, the opportunity to show and sell their work as well as compete for prize money.

Art media includes oil, watercolor, acrylic, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, pastels, photography, ceramics and computer generated works.

There are 284 total entries in this year's show from 46 amateur artists and 44 professional artists from 28 cities.

Entries also include students from Russell High School, Republic County High School, Pike Valley High School, Osborne High School, Natoma High School, Chase High School, Colby Community College and Fort Hays State University.

This year's show was made possible by the generous support of 85 area businesses and individuals.

The ROAR show will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14 from 9 AM to 9 PM and Sunday, October 15 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the 4-H Building in Russell.

Admission is free and some pieces will be available to buy.
