Hoisington Man Dies in Crash Wednesday in Barton County

A Hoisington man died in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Barton County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 10:30 AM Wednesday, a 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by 76-year-old Richard Lee Reichuber of Hoisington was eastbound in the 100 block of Northwest 100 Road just west of Northwest 10th Avenue near Hoisington.

The vehicle left the roadway to the right and entered the ditch. The vehicle struck multiple trees, went airborne over a dry creek bed and came to rest on all four wheels facing westbound.

Reichuber was taken to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington where he was pronounced dead.

He was not buckled up at the time of the crash.
