Hoisington Traffic Stop Results in Drug Arrest

On April 13 at about 1:30 AM, a Barton County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a 2008 Chevrolet Impala for an equipment violation in the 1200 block of North Main Street in Hoisington.

According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, during the course of the investigation there were indications of possible drug activity.

Sheriff's Office K9 Menta was deployed and alerted to the odor of controlled substances in the vehicle.

Deputies on scene conducted a search of the vehicle, which revealed the presence of fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle identified as 46-year-old Tracy Reeves of Great Bend was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail without incident.

Reeves was booked on the possession charges and has since posted a $10,000 bond.
