Kansas Governor's Scholars Program Recognizes Outstanding Graduating Seniors

The Kansas Governor's Scholars Program has recognized outstanding graduating seniors who finished in the top one percent of their high school graduating class for the past 41 years.

Congratulations to the following area students for joining this elite group of Kansans: Melissa Donecker of Central Plains High School in Claflin, Evan Ringwald of Ellinwood High School, Layton Leiker of Ellsworth High School, Isaac King of Lincoln High School, Nevaeh McVey of Otis-Bison High School, Hannah Gideon of Russell High School, Sydney Heller of Sylvan-Lucas Unified High School and Quincy Pickering of Victoria High School.

The 2024 Kansas Governor's Scholars will be honored at an event Sunday, May 5 at Washburn University in Topeka.
