I just wanted to make a comment about the recent post by our Russell City Manager Jon Quinday.

Letter to the Editor: Embracing American Values of Kindness, Civility and Pride

I think everyone should read this. The advice he gives all of us is right on the mark. Our country needs help in a big way. If everyone tries a little harder in being kind and respectful for people you deal with on a day-to-day basis, your life will be more joyful and more satisfying in the results you would gain. He is talking about Fred Weigel passing recently as to what kind of a man he was. He was a decent human being and was respectful to everyone no matter what their circumstances were. He speaks of kindness and civility and pride in all your daily walks in life. Try a little harder at your job to be better and be proud of what you do during each day. Anyway, have no prejudices and always try to meet people half way.

To end this post, again I just want all of you to take the time and read his post. It is pack full of what it means to be an American and embracing American values and just common courtesy to every person you meet on your journey in life.

Give it a lot of thought.  I sure did.
