Run for the Wall Motorcycle Ride Will Travel Through Russell County May 22

The Run for the Wall motorcycle ride will make its way through Russell County on Sunday, May 22.

The participating bikers will be exiting at Balta Road and taking Old Highway 40 to pass by the Veterans Memorial in Russell as a salute to Bob Dole then heading over to Bunker Hill for fuel.

They are planning on riding through Russell County between 2:30 and 3:30 PM.

There will be approximately 500 bikers participating in Run for the Wall.

Russell County Economic Development and CVB invites and encourages the people of Russell County to come experience this salute of honor for one of our own by lining up along Old Highway 40 to show your support.

The Run for the Wall mission statement is to promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action (POW/MIA), to honor the memory of those Killed in Action (KIA) from all wars, and to support our military personnel all over the world.
