Rural Firefighters Respond to Barn Fire

Russell County Rural Fire District Five, Russell-Grant Township and Gorham Firefighters responded to a barn fire Wednesday evening in far southern Russell County.

Firefighters were paged to the fire at 9:07 PM Wednesday at 3010 184th Street near Milberger according to dispatch logs.

RFD5 Fire Chief Tracey Kuntzsch said the 30-by-40 foot barn was destroyed and a few pigs and piglets in the barn died.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.

There were no human injuries.
