Russell Mayor Jim Cross signed a proclamation Tuesday declaring May 12 through 18 as Police Week in Russell.

The local proclamation aligns with National Police Week and recognizes the work and dedication of law enforcement officers.

Russell Police Officer Christopher Bixenman, Master Police Officer Daniel Hoffman, Chief of Police Jordan Harrison, School Resource Officer Trevor Musgrove and Police Officer Adam Jones joined Mayor Cross for the signing.
