Russell's Teresa Brandenberg Recognized as a 2023 Kansas Ag Hero

Russell's Teresa Brandenberg was recognized as a 2023 Kansas Ag Hero on August 17 at the seventh annual Kansas Governor's Summit on Agricultural Growth in Manhattan.

Brandenberg has served the agriculture community for over a decade. She became the first woman President of the Kansas Soybean Association and now serves as the Chairwoman of the Board. She advocates for agriculture not only on the local level but national level as well by serving when needed on the American Soybean Association Board. In addition to agriculture, she has a passion for advocating for special education as well.

Kansas Ag Heroes was established as a way to recognize those in the agriculture industry who have gone above and beyond to serve others and better their community. Nominations are received in the summer prior to the Ag Growth Summit, and Kansas Department of Agriculture leadership reviews each nomination and recognizes a select number of agriculture heroes during the Kansas Governor's Summit on Agricultural Growth.

Any Kansan can nominate any individual, family or business in Kansas agriculture that you feel provided a notable contribution to the agriculture industry or their community as a whole. Nominations take place in the summer prior to the annual Ag Growth Summit.
