USD 407 Announces New SES Principal

Russell County USD 407 is excited to announce Katie Revell as the new instructional leader at Simpson Elementary School beginning July 1, 2021.

Simpson Elementary will see Jordan Perez exit as he will serve Ruppenthal Middle School in the principal role starting with the 2021-2022 school year.

Revell, her husband Tyson, and their three children will be moving to the USD 407 community this summer as she looks forward to impacting students and families districtwide.

Revell's career of 11 years has been grounded in primary grade level education, having had great success in the classroom and as Title I Director in Ellinwood all of those years.

"Mrs. Revell's foundation in character, integrity, communication and instruction will match SES' current positive energy and take us far," said USD 407 Superintendent Shelly Swayne.

Revell offered these thoughts, "I have a teaching background in First Grade and Title 1. Setting up our littlest learners with strong academic skills has been a passion of mine for 11 years. My family is so excited about moving to Russell and becoming active members in the community. USD 407 has a wonderful reputation and I look forward to building upon the existing success of our staff and students."
