#2 Natoma Caps Perfect Regular Season, Playoffs Next

NATOMA-The #2-ranked Natoma Tigers wasted little time in taking control as they rolled to a 54-6 Senior Day win over Greeley County in their regular season finale Thursday evening at Tiger Field.

Natoma built up a 24-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a surge that included two touchdowns in just over two minutes to start the game.

Kayden Martinez who entered the contest leading all classifications in rushing yardage finished the proceedings with a touchdown run with 8:07 remaining in the fourth quarter to cap off a 6-0 regular season.

Next for the Tigers will be the first round of the 6-Man Playoffs starting Tuesday, October 19 when they host Pawnee Heights.  That group of Tigers finished the regular season Thursday with a 57-6 defeat at the hands of top-ranked Cunningham.

The winner of the Natoma-Pawnee Heights game will face the winner of the game between Ashland and Weskan in the semifinals on October 23.  The Wild West Bowl in Dodge City which includes the Third Place and State Championship games will be held on October 30.

Kickoff for Tuesday's Quarterfinal contest between Natoma and Pawnee Heights will be at 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on KRSL 95,9 FM and online at krsl.com
