3A Sub-State Basketball Brackets Released
The Class 3A Sub-State basketball brackets have been released by the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
Russell is a part of the Norton Sub-State with Beloit, Colby, Goodland, TMP-Marian, Minneapolis, Norton and Phillipsburg.
The first round games will be played Monday and Tuesday, March 1 and 2 at the higher seeds. The semifinals and championship games will be played Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 4 through 6 in Norton.
The Russell girls are the seventh seed at 9-11 and travel to second-seeded TMP-Marian in Hays on Monday for a 7 PM game. The Lady Monarchs are 17-3.
The Russell boys are also the seventh seed at 6-14 and travel to second-seeded Minneapolis on Tuesday for a 7 PM game. The Lions are 13-5.
