NPL All-Stars Sweep State Line Games

The 6th annual State Line All-Star Basketball games were played Saturday in Mankato and the Northern Plains League swept both the Boys and Girls contests with several area players contributing.

In the Girls game, the NPL All-Stars whose team members included Cadence Nondorf of Sylvan-Lucas handled the All-Stars from Nebraska's Twin Valley Conference 77-57.  Lauryn Dubbert of St. John's-Tipton was the star of the game with a 45-point outburst that included six three pointers.

The Northern Plains League Boys team with a coaching staff of head coach Jeff Starkey from Sylvan-Lucas and assisted by Natoma's Chris Broeckelman outlasted the best of the Twin Valley Conference 84-72.

Jonah Huehl of Sylvan-Lucas scored 16 points, Jayce Dickerson of Natoma added 10, Camryn Eberhart of Wilson tallied seven points and Jayson Engling of Natoma finished the day with three points.  Dickerson drained two three-point baskets while Eberhart and Engling had one apiece.
