RHS Boys Move Up in KWCA Rankings, Four RHS Wrestlers Also in Polls
The Russell High School wrestling teams have four members state ranked again this week by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.
On the girls side in 4-1A, freshman Jaden Ney (24-3) is fourth at 132 pounds. Freshman Tionna Napue remains fifth at 120 with a 30-1 record this season.
In Class 3-2-1A, senior Tyler Moresco (17-1) remains #1 at 195 pounds, while senior Jacob Windholz (23-3) is second at 145 pounds.
The Pratt girls stay at #1 in 4-1A followed by Wellington, Lakin, Burlington and Baldwin. Holton is sixth followed by Hoisington, Chapman, Rose Hill and Rossville.
The Hoxie boys are the top ranked team in 3-2-1A followed by Norton, Plainville, Oakley and Russell. The Broncos are up one spot from last week. Rossville is sixth followed by Silver Lake, Phillipsburg, Hill City and Republic County.
The Russell boys and girls both wrestle in the Phillipsburg Invitational on Friday, February 4. Matches are scheduled to begin at 10 AM.
