Russell Wrestling Club Sending 22 to State
22 members of the Russell Wrestling Club are going to the USAWKS Kids Folkstyle State Tournament in Topeka on March 8, 9 and 10.
Braigan Dinkel (12U/120), Xzander Donner (14U/95), Xzephren Donner (HS/106), Bryson Feil (10U/76), Lawson Feil (8U/73), Peyton Gibson (14U/205), Wesley Johnson (10U/150), Kolten Jones (14U/155), Steele Rogge (10U/170), Brayden Suchy (HS/175), Quintin Trevino (12U/150) and Preston Trout (10U/90) all qualified after finishing in the top four in their age and weight division at the district tournament in Hays on Saturday, March 2.
In the girls divisions, Ruby Baxter (8U/80), Adelyn Counts (10U/90), Averie Counts (14U/136), Nyliah Dinkel (10U/60), Katy Driscoll (12U/120), Karsyn Hamlin (12U/115), Skylee McConnell (8U/110), Aaliyah Trevino (12U/140), Mya Trevino (HS/115) and Arianna Weigel (12U/110) also punched their tickets to state by finishing in the top four of their age and weight division at the district tournament in Hays.
The state tournament will be held at the Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka.
