Russell's Diego Muller Signs with University of the Incarnate Word
Russell's Diego Muller has committed to play soccer and continue his education at the University of the Incarnate Word, a Division 1 university in San Antonio, Texas.
He plans to study psychology and kinesiology with the hopes of becoming a sports psychologist.
Diego is the son of Kai and Angela Muller of Russell.
He attends Hays High School and has been a member of the varsity soccer team since 2019. He is an attacking midfielder/forward finishing his senior year 10-6-1. He's been a team Co-Captain for two years, First Team All-Western Athletic Conference sophomore, junior and senior years, Second Team All-Western Athletic Conference freshman year, varsity letter all years and he's the sixth all-time leading scorer at Hays High with 26 goals and 18 assists.
Muller has also played for FC Wichita Soccer Club since 2017 as a forward/winger with FC Wichita, a soccer club that competes in national leagues. He was a member of the U19 EA (Elite Academies) Team, National Championship Runner-up in Dallas, Texas in June 2022, a member of the U19 ECNL Team (Elite Clubs National League), a member of the United Soccer League (USL) Academy Pool, Olympic Development Program Midwest Regional Pool and Olympic Development Program Kansas Team.
Muller is also a member of the National Honor Society and an All-Academic Western Athletic Conference honoree.
