Russell's Hamlin Wins National Championship, Seven Wrestlers Earn All American Honors

Seven members of the Russell Wrestling Club competed in the Adidas Folkstyle Wrestling Nationals in Independence, MO on April 9-10.
Boys and girls from 30 states including Alaska were part of the national meet held at Cable Dahmer Arena.
Karsyn Hamlin went 2-0 and captured the national championship in her fifth grade/94 pound division. She is also a three-time state champion in Kansas.
Brayden Suchy had a 6-1 record and took third place in the boys ninth grade/155 pound division.
Xzephren Donner went 2-1 and was third in the eighth grade/82 pound division.
Leighton Dinkel placed fifth with a 3-2 mark in the fourth grade/72 pound division.
Bryson Feil had a 3-2 record and finished seventh in the third grade/63 pound division.
Camryn McConnell took eighth in the sixth grade/115 pound division.
Xzander Donner placed eighth in the sixth grade/83 pound division.
All seven wrestlers earned All American honors by placing in the top eight in their age/weight divisions.
