RV Baseball Group Drops Three of Four Over Weekend

The Russell-Victoria Baseball Group played a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday July 9 and 10 on the road at Smith Center and Belleville.

The 19 and Under team split Friday's twinbill at Smith Center. Smith Center took Game 1 by a score of 4-2 as Rhett Posphichal took the loss. In the nightcap, Russell-Victoria bounced back for a 9-5 win in nine innings behind a complete game performance from Kirk Huser.

On Saturday, Belleville swept a short-handed Russell-Victoria team by scores of 7-4 and 10-9. Andrew Roth and Cameron Farmer took the losses on the mound.

Russell-Victoria (18-7) will wrap up the regular season with a home and home series against Sylvan Grove. The two teams will meet at the Shaffer Field Complex on Sunday, July 18 in a game rescheduled from June 27 and they will also face off on Wednesday, July 21 in Sylvan Grove.
