Southeast of Saline Prevails on Senior Day for Lady Broncos
The Russell-Victoria Lady Bronco Softball team hosted Southeast of Saline on Senior Day Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Park.
The doubleheader with the Lady Trojans was originally scheduled for May 2 but was postponed until Tuesday due to wet grounds. Southeast of Saline (19-3) won both games by identical 19-0 scores with both contests ending after the third inning due to the run rule.
Saige Moos and Gracelynn Dinkel were the pitchers of record for Russell-Victoria.
Tuesday's games were also the last home games for three Lady Bronco seniors: Harlee Donovan, Hannah Gideon and Marissa Myers. The trio were recognized for their contributions to the Lady Bronco Softball program during a ceremony held in between games of the doubleheader.
Russell-Victoria (1-23) will turn its attention to the Class 3A Hoisington Regional where they will meet Southeast of Saline again on Monday, May 13 in Hoisington around 6 PM. The game will be broadcast on KRSL 95.9 and streamed on KRSL.com.
