Victoria Girls Open Season in KBCA Rankings

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association has released their preseason rankings ahead of the start of the high school basketball season.

The Victoria girls are ranked ninth in Class 1A Division I after going 15-5 a year ago. Six teams are ranked out of the Mid-Continent League. On the girls side, Phillipsburg is sixth and TMP-Marian seventh in 3A and in 2A, Smith Center is fifth and Trego seventh. For the boys, Thomas More Prep begins the season ranked third in 3A and Trego is 10th in 2A.

Also in the area, the Osborne girls are 10th in 1A Division I and the Central Plains girls top the 1A Division II poll.
