Weigel, Feil Capture State Championships, Four Other Russell Wrestlers Medal at State

Arianna Weigel won a state championship and four other members of the Russell Wrestling Club medaled at the USAWKS Kids Folkstyle State Tournament in Topeka March 10-12.
Weigel went 4-0 and won her 12 and under 95 pound division. Also, she was 12th fastest in average pin time of all wrestlers at state. Brayden Suchy had a 4-1 mark and placed third in his high school 157 pound division. Karsyn Hamlin was fourth in her 12 and under 105 pound division with a 4-2 record. Xzephren Donner went 3-2 and took fifth in his high school 100 pound division. Katy Driscoll finished 1-3 and placed sixth in her 10 and under 100 pound division.
Also for Russell, Braigan Dinkel (12U/100) went 0-2. Leighton Dinkel (12U/76) also went 0-2. Xzander Donner (12U/80) had an 0-2 mark. Bryson Feil (10U/70) went 1-2. Skye Knipp (8U/45) had a 1-2 record. Teagen Pfeifer (HS/165) went 0-2. Abel Sandberg (10U/120) had a 1-2 record. Quintin Trevino (12U/120) went 1-2. Trey Zorn (HS/132) went 0-2. Camry Ney (12U/85) was unable to compete at state due to an injury.
The state tournament was held at Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka.
On Sunday, March 5, Lawson Feil went 4-0 and captured a state championship in the 6 and under tournament in Mulvane.
